Super clean look and great fit. These in the navy have been my go to casual shoe. I will say the insole is not great. Cushioning is super minimal, but I use cushioned arch support insoles and the deep heavy duty vulc sole Makes a good platform. I’m planning on beating these up at work and when they get too ragged I’m gonna skate in them. I’m excited to eventually skate in them as I love the low profile and boardfeel with these but I’m not expecting much durability from the one piece canvas toe but they’re vegan so that’s the trade with no suede. But honestly skating these would be gravy. Super classic looks and it feels good to support an OG core brand with a social conscious.
The etnies Jameson Vulc LS is the deconstructed version of the Jameson Vulc. It retains footwear design simplicity as a minimal, stripped down lifestyle shoe. The Jameson Vulc LS has a one-piece clean toe design and a low toe box, keeping the vamp closer to your foot. Definitely recommend getting these shoes. There are a couple of key factors that make these shoes some of the better Vegan, narrow, slim, simple shoes that Etnies has offered that I’ve tried. So one is that these shoes aren’t made with any animal based products (aside from, I assume, glues or adhesives that are animal derived due to the nature of our industrial processing economy that we live in). Second is the price, and third is the comfort/durability. The durability of this shoe is something that needs work on but when you compare these shoes to other suede or animal based skate shoes you will find they last about just as long without getting a hole on the side where you flick (granted you aren’t kickflipping a thousand times in them). The major point is that you are going to need shoe goo just like every other skate shoe. Hopefully the need to rely on animal based glues in the future will diminish, but for now it’s a derivative of an industry that is having declining supply of these components that are needed for things like shoe goo. Supporting companies that are creating awesome vegan shoes, like the ones Etnies makes means that more money and efforts will go into better alternative technologies for skating footwear in the future. Thank you Etnies! <3
Very comfortable. Great quality. The color can be used to dress up or down especially during the summer.
Another pair of comfy shoes. The fit is great! The order came super quick!!! Very satisfied with the whole experience
I love my Jamesons! Not only is the footbed more comfortable than my Vans (even the Comfy Cush line), but the tongue is also cushioned, making these a very comfortable wear. I also love that the midsole is raised around the toe box giving it a more modern look than the Vans Era (which is where the Jamesons' lineage lies). It's just a clean, classic silhouette, with a modern update. Technical gushing aside, it's a really sick shoe.
great shoes as always, good quality and design as shown at web page
Shoes are very comfortable but only lasted a month before getting a giant hole in the side do to the very thin material of the shoe. Would not recommend these if you plan on buying a shoe that will last
Great BMX shoe. Little stiff at first but it gets you going.
Quality seems great, as always with Etnies products. This is obviously one of their thinner shoes, but it still retains the comfort of a skate shoe. Perhaps the ankle cut could be slightly lower or more padded as this seems to catch my ankle slightly when doing any sideways movements. Overall a great shoe!
Ex skater still appreciate quality made footwear and these are dope shoes , simple comfy could do with an STI feature in more LS range in line with the Scout XT pls
