Samarria Brevard is the first female African-American professional skateboarder and one of the top skate athletes in the world. In 2017, she became the first and only African-American female to medal in X Games history. Living in Riverside, CA Samarria has a talent for skating huge obstacles with fearless ease. Known for her powerful style, this humble warrior has been referred to as the ‘Serena Williams of skateboarding.’
With a radiant spirit and a positive attitude, Samarria’s passion and determination pave the way for a bright future. This young veteran competes among the most elite levels of professional skateboarding around the world, from X Games to Street League Skateboarding. In 2014, she earned a first place victory at the Kimberley Diamond Cup in South Africa. Four years after her first X Games (2013) she landed on the podium at X Games Minneapolis 2017 for 2nd place, narrowly missing the gold.
